1.0 - The Discipline Priest

Discipline priests represent both a mixture of the Priest's viable healing power and the survability required to endure massive damage and focused fire from enemy players/mobs for an extended period of time.

Primary reasons to spec Disicpline while raiding is for both the increased mana efficiency, via meditation, as well as the raid-wipe increase in mana regeneration via divine/improve divine spirit is well worth the decrease in certain healing capabilities from not being fully holy.

PvP wise discipline is most definitely the greatest mixture of defensive, support, and offensive capabilities via mana burn against all casters, pain suppression to take on mortal strike and other melee DPS bursts.
