There has been allot of discussion about correct character building in WOW, so I figured I would give the readers my opinion about this. I will use my account as an example.

Undead - Mage - Dagger - Offhand - Wands.

Undead - Priest - Mace - Offhand - Wands

I went Undead on these 2 because of the fact that Undead have the highest spirit of any race in the game as well as having the highest INT among the Horde peeps, you can see the chart here:

I also went 1H Wep/Offhand item, instead of a Staff, simply because the Mage and Priest are not melee intense peeps,(although the priest may seem like it, I always have the PvP endgame in mind and in end game PvP Priests will not be wanted for their Uber melee skills - LOL) So for my play, style 2H staves are not wanted, I would rather have the stats from the one hand dagger PLUS the stats from the offhand item. I have done allot of research on one hand weps, as I was being told over and over again that daggers are "gimped" for damage compared to swords. From a couple of the WOW item data bases that I have seen this is true, so you may wish to go 1H sword instead of dagger, the choice is easy, go with the wep that has the highest +INT stat on it. You can switch from dagger to sword,(if you find a better stat adding sword) anytime you want in the game after you have them trained. Just remember to raise these wep skills on lobie "green con" mobs before using the wep in endgame PvP.

Troll - Rogue - Dagger - Dagger - Bow

Troll - Hunter - Dagger - Dagger - Bow

Troll for the Rogue as well as the Hunter because, Tolls have the highest AGI on the Horde side and the closest behind the Troll is the Undead and that's a 4 point difference. I am really "up-in-arms" about both of these characters because the more info I read and the more info I hear about these 2 the more I realize that most people have their head stuck in their ass and have no idea what they are talking about. Here is my advice:

The Rouge MUST HAVE a Dagger in his main hand, because of the fact that you cannot use "Ambush" without a dagger equipped in the main hand. The off hand can be any wep you want but CANNOT be "slow". If you want a sword in your off hand, that's cool, but remember that Rouges use poisons, and that these poisons must "Proc" off your weps.(Proc = Process On Action, which just means that on a "hit" it has a chance of activating a "power") So if you have a 15% to Proc poison off your wep and you have a really slow wep then you are gimped as the % to Proc is a fixed % so the faster the better. Poisons CAN stack up to 5 times in WOW and since there is an "insta" poison and a "DOT" poison so you will want to have both weps equipped with a different poison and hitting as fast as possible.(This is assuming you are going to use poisons - lol) If you are NOT going to be stealthed using "Ambush" such as in a zerg VS. zerg action, then put whatever you want in your main hand. In my opinion, D.P.S. on the off hand wep must play a lower priority then speed when choosing which wep to use in PvP, assuming you are using poisons.

The Hunter, here is another conflict, why did I go 2 dagger instead of 2 axes or a 2H Axe? Never go a 2H wep(on a non-melee peep), when given a choice. A Hunter is a bow peep you are NOT melee heavy. So lets say you are using your bow and you have a 2H axe equipped that adds +20 STR and +20 AGI. Now wouldn't you rather be using your bow with 2 daggers equipped that each added +20 STR and +20 AGI? Why Dagger over Axe? After searching wep databases form weps found in WOW there is a VERY limited number of axe's you can use in your off hand, so I went daggers. Also do not forget that daggers usually give +AGI stat adds and AGI is the primary stat used in determining the stat multiplier for ranged damage... If I found an Axe AND an off hand Axe that had comparable stat adds, I would go Axe/Axe, but as of this article I have not found any.

Bow Vs. Gun, is the same as Vet VS. Noob. I encourage you to test this theory as I have, and IT WORKS.

All things being equal, have a friend stand about 30 yards behind you and target a mob in front of you using a Gun and then do the same with using a Bow. You will notice that you "hear" the Gun long BEFORE the mob is hit. When using the Bow you simply see the "arrow" a fraction of a sec before it hits the mob. When we reversed rolls my friend said he could hear the Bow but the Gun was allot louder and more pronounced. So what this means, in end game PvP is bring a Bow. A gun is "cool" good eye candy and sounds real good, but is a dead give away in PvP. It is true that this would only give you about a .75 to 1.25 sec advantage, but would you rather have this advantage or give it to your opponent?

Tauren - Warrior - Axe - Shield - Bow

Tauren - Druid - Mace - Off Hand Item

Obviously, the Tauren have the highest STR of any race, 2 more then the Orc and 3 more then the Dwarf.

I went Axe/Shield instead of 2H as I could not handle someone using "Shield block" on me every 5 seconds(as of this post the cooldown on shield block is 5 seconds) - This is, for the most part, a personal choice. If it seems that I dish out gimpy damage at the higher levels,(anything below level 50 to me is noobish, yes at level 20 I am a noob and will be so for quite awhile :) then I will change to 2H, but right now at level 20 I have no problem dishing out damage it just seems that I cannot take it, even with dodge, parry, block, and heavy armor I am still getting whacked on hard.(By the way you can see the exact % of damage reduction due to your armor by hovering over your armor stat, but I am sure most of you already know this) This is bothersome since my % to reduce melee damage due to armor is 36.7%, maybe I am doing something wrong here but what?

Druid is easy, Mace/Off Hand - at the later levels when you use your wereform more often, the extra stat adds will more then make up the damage difference, as stats do carry over to the morphed form. So far from my in-game experience the druid is a caster anyway, only morphing when "it" hits the fan...

Orc - Shaman - Axe - Shield

Orc - Warlock - Dagger - Off Hand Item

Take the Axe with Shaman for the extra damage due to the Orc racial Axe bonus. I am still looking for my "place" in the WOW world as a Shaman. I have a "personal policy" that if I cannot offer decent info on a topic I would find someone or someplace that does and the MPS member "Ozone" seems to know a great deal more about the high level, endgame Shaman then I do, so I would fire your questions about the shaman to him. The Warlock, I am still having trouble with as well, the problem is you simply have no hit points. If your pet loses the agro then run, I am just learning how to use the "life drain" and other level 15-20 skills but compared to the other classes I have played the Warlock is still lagging way behind in "combat effectiveness" I will really try to offer more on the Shaman and Warlock at a later date as I can figure out how to implement them correctly in endgame pvp. Ozone had brought up a good point about Shaman's "pwning" magi at high levels, but to me the Shaman is compare to the Alliance Pally and damn it the Pally's get to take their "totems"(totems are just buffs anyway, same as "aura's") with them, while the Shamans totems must be dropped on the ground for all to kill.(5 hit points LOFL) So, until otherwise noted, view the Shamans totems as a mostly PvE wep compared to massively using them in end game PvP.
