Priests!

The Priest class is versatile, it can be used for superior sources of damage or healing, it can buff and provide useful utility spells for group and PvP use. Priests have the disadvantage of being low on armor and defense since they are cloth wearers but make up for that lack with their large array of awesome skills and abilities.

The easiest way to level up with a Priest (unless you are being power leveled!) is likely by using a Shadow spec. If you don't want to be a Shadow Priest you might want to consider just specing Shadow until you reach higher levels in which you can easily find groups to heal. You might also consider using a Holy Warrior type spec, utilizing Holy and Discipline talents to do Holy DPS.

The most popular PvP Priest specs are shadow based; however, it is entirely possible to be a strong PvP Holy spec'd Priest. When you spec for PvP be sure to consider including utility talents like Silence, Improved Psychic Scream, and Improved Mana Burn. Also consider including survivability talents such as Improved Power Word: Shield and Improved Power Word: Fortitude.
