Previously, this was a process that could take a first time player up to 25-30 days of actual played time to achieve. Luckily though, those days are long behind us with the creation of levelling guides that feature in game questing advice. Where previously you might waste half an hour looking for that certain NPC or item and finding you were in the complete wrong area, these guides feature a 'taxi-cab' directional arrow so you'll never have to worry about getting lost again. They also use precise mathematical equations to determine the fastest questing routes, taking into account your current level, talent spec, race and location. With the added inclusion in one of the guides of a recommended talent spec guide, you now only need to press one button each time you level and you can feel safe knowing your levelling speed is being optimised for you.
There are three guides out there that are guaranteed to turbo your levelling speed all the way to 80. These are Zygor's Guide, Joana's Guide and iDemise's Guide. Each of these guides are excellent in their own way, with the creators of each having rather varied backgrounds and is somewhat displayed through their guides. Zygor's Guide is one that you can count on remaining up to date, with new features being added to his first. His guide was the first to feature an in game feature (now they all do). Prior to this each step in the guide had to be memorised while you were alt-tabbed out of the game.. Joana has a history of being a speed leveller in many games. In WoW she has broken levelling speed records on many different servers and in doing so has discovered ideal questing routes that she has shared through her guide. iDemise are a counterstrike clan-gone wow, and while they're guide is excellent and shall get the job done, I don't believe it is quite as strong as Joana's or Zygor's.
Overall, should you be wanting to minimise your wow power levelling time and get into end game content sooner, any of these three guides shall do the trick. Personally I would recommend Zygor's Guide, as it is easy to setup and install, has a great interface, and is the pioneer of the bunch.
