Combustion basically does this: When you first use it, it increases your chance to crit with fire spells by 10%. For every fire spell casted after you use it, that chance increases by 10%. Ex: I pop combustion, my chance to crit with fire spells is already 15%, now it is 25%. I cast a fire ball, now it is 35%, etc. Now this effect keeps going until you get 3 critical strikes with fire spells. Here is a little trick though. If you already have 2 crits with fire spells off your combustion, chances are your chance to crit is pretty high at the moment. One trick is that abilities such as dragons breathe, blast wave, and flame strike all share that crit chance, what I mean by share is, if your chance to crit is 100%, and you hit 4 mobs with your blast wave, all 4 mobs will be crit. This is very useful for AoE grinding. This WILL use up all the charges of your combustion (or however many mobs got crit with the spell) if you have more than one charge, this is basically only useful for the last charge. Another way to exploit this is this... On a single mob, cast Pyroblast, now before pyroblast hits the target, quickly cast fire blast. Since fireblast is instant, it will crit before the pyroblast hits your target, but since your pyroblast is already on its way to the target, and it has 100% chance to crit as well, they will both crit. This WILL use up 2 charges of your combustion if you have 2 or more charges left, this is only useful for the last charge. Now, my favorite, lets put them together. Heres what I do for a quick kill of 5 mobs around my level. You have to have combusition at a high % (80% to crit or higher is best), and ONE charge ( you can have more, but its a waste). Now run around and pick up 5 mobs on you around your level (2-3 lower is easiest) if your having trouble keeping them on you, use arcane exploision rank 1 every few seconds. Now once 5 or so are on you, make sure they're bunched together (you can get them bunched together pretty easily by just backing up, they will get really close then) now frost nova and back up JUUUST out of their Melee range. Oh yes, I forgot to mention, you can do this against ranged mobs, but it is alot harder, MELEE mobs are the best for this. Now fast Flamestrike on the mobs, but while its casting, spam the **** out of Blastwave. If you did it right, but Flamestrike AND Blastwave will crit all the mobs, which is alot of damage, + double ignite DOTS on each one, spam arcane explosion/dragon's breathe until they are dead.
