The key to successful warrior pvp in imho is to make the best of your burst damage. This means that you get yourself the hardest hitting, slowest swinging 2h weapon you can find and try to focus on instant, weapon damage attacks, ie: Mortal Strike Overpower Whirlwind And of course execute. Crit gear is where it;s at and your build should reflect the weapon you have to get 10% crit from Cruelty and eithe Axe or Pole spec. The other abilities are nice but not worth taking over pole/axe spec imo. With an Arcanite Reaper you can get staggering crits using mortal strike with very high damage hits off the other skills as well. If you cant afford/obtain an AR then the ice barbed Spear is a poor mans substitute from the AV battlegrounds. Generic vs class tips: Rogues: Easiest of all, use rend and hamstring to prevent escape and opverpower them into submission. Hunters: Probably next easiest, use your charge and intercept abilities to close the gaps, hamstring to slow them intimidating shout to fear the pet away and again, just overwhelm them with damage. Now it gets harder: Shaman - A real tough fight and again it's about doing more damage and limiting the effect of their healing with your abilities. Pommel the heals where you can but always be sure mortal strike is on. Paladin - Again real tough, you have one chance really, force their mana and shields without dying. Some useful tips are to bandage yourself when they shield (or hearth if you want to really piss them off :) and to pommel the heals if theyre not shielded. Druids - Much the same, keep them MS'd to negate healing, force shifting with repeated hamstrings (stupid druids will always shift to shake snares but they spend a lot of mana doing so). Smart druids will moonfire and faerie fire you and dive into bear form for safety. They'll slowly wear you down and use heals/frenzied regeneration to out last you. Mortal strike can negate this, and stunning and bandaging while not moonfired can extend your life to make things difficult for them. This is a tough fight, but winnable with luck. And now real hard: Warlock - You're going to be seduced unless you put the succubus out of the fight so be ready to charge it, pommel it and mortal strike it down. If you have enough health left, do the same to the lock. If you're confident on your killing you can go straight for the lock and hit intimidating shout to fear the pet off, shortly after berserker rage is handy to ensure you're not feared away. Rage does not make you immune to seduce so it;s imperative you kill the lock before the pet gets free or the fight will turn in the locks favour. Be thankful they dont have snares. If they fear you or seduce you, it gets very difficult for you to win. Shadowbolts will be the finishers typically though deathcoils and shadowburn are very serious also. Pommel where you can and maximise that time to unload the dps, have execute ready, you want this one over quickly. The real probs come if they have specced for pets. In which case you'll kill the pet and the lock will resummon it in 1 second. If that happens, you will be forced to intim the lock to fear the pet off, and you'll have seconds to kill them, in this situation recklessness is a god send. Mages - A skilled mage is a very tough fight, they can blink out of snares and stuns, polymorph you to ensure the advantage, and snare you with frost consistantly. Assume they will blink whener you get close so dont waste time with pommels etc, go straight for mortal strikes and then the hamstrings. Dont be afraid to use your bow as you'll likely get rooted in frost a few times anyway. I would highly recomend you do NOT go looking for fights with mages, they are warrior killers pure and simple. We kill rogues with ease, mages kill warriors with ease. If you have it ready, shield wall can be useful for expending some of their mana but it's rarely worth using it as these fights are just so damned hard to win. Priests - Come in 2 varieties both will dot and fear you and heal themselves to win. With holy specced the mana pools are bigger and the dots hurt less and with shadow the reverse is ture. Shadow are considerably harder to beat and a combination of mortal strike, berserker rage to resist fear and hamstrings and burst damage must be used. Dont underestimate how much damage a priest can do, this is a real race to kill the other first and you will very often die afterward from the dots.
