After seeing some of the frustration posted by some users for other fishing
macros, I decided to try and write one using AutoIt which has always made things
easier for me in the past. If you played SWG, then you might be familiar with
the Crafting macro Redsand and I put together and how easy that was. Hopefully
this fishing macro will simplify things too. Here are the basic steps:
1) Download AutoIt V3 from www.hiddensoft.com and install on your computer
2) Download fishing.au3 from
http://home.visi.net/~thetechs/newfishing.au3
3) Make sure you save the above file in the AutoIt directory. Do not run from
shortcuts!
4) In Video Options of WoW, make sure Hareware Cursor is NOT checked.
5) First person view.
6) Water covering about 50 percent of the screen. This really isn't crucial as
you will be
setting the actual scan area. This is nice as it doesn't matter what your
resolution is set to,
7) Windows mode.
8) Start macro and follow setup. I hopeit is pretty self-explanatory however I
am working on a tutorial.
P.S. This will only work on PCs running WinXP or Win2K. Sorry in advance for any
Win95/98/ME users.
UPDATED 01/02/2006 - I believe I fixed the timer issue, added an extra pack
cleaning slot and baubble should be working too! Make sure you place the baubble
on one of your hot keys. Don't have a WoW account anymore to test so let me know
if these updates work/fix the issues. Thanx
