The Hunter: This was a very easy build for me as the choices really seemed
limited. Survival is basically enhancing your traps, although it does have a
decent skill "Counterattack", but this was too high up on the tree for me to
spend the points to get it. I stayed away from Survival because I refuse to
believe in endgame PvP players will willingly run into my traps, LOL. Beast
Mastery was not an option, as pets in the endgame are always "taken out"(mezzed,
feared, rooted, or massively nuked to death) of the combat equation early. So
this only leaves Marksmanship, with all my ranting and raving about the Hunter
being overpowered, it seems like this will "equal out" at the higher levels as
the "feel" of how much "gain" you get to your characters effectiveness from the
Marksmanship skill tree seems gimped compared to the other classes' trees.
Beast Mastery Talents (11 points)
Improved Aspect of the Hawk - 5/5 points
Increases the Ranged Attack Power bonus of your Aspect of the Hawk by 20%.
Definitely a must have skill here, count on most Hunter builds as having this.
Endurance Training - 5/5 points
Increases the Health of your pets by 10%. 10% is not a huge amount but I needed
to spend the points for the next skill.
Bestial Swiftness - 1/1 point
Increases the outdoor movement speed of your pets by 30%. Not only do you need
this to have your pet keep up with you while using your cheetah speed buff, but
this also eliminates allot of the "running away" since your pet will be
constantly whacking on them as they are running.
Marksmanship Talents (40 points)
Improved Concussive Shot - 5/5 points
Gives your Concussive Shot a 20% chance to stun the target for 3 seconds. The
only thing better in end game PvP then slowing down your opponent is to stop
them completely.
Efficiency - 5/5 points
Reduces the Mana cost of your Shots and Stings by 10%. For lack of a better
place to put the points they were placed here.(I don't have too many mana
problems with the hunter, even after 3-4 chain pulls.)
Improved Hunter's Mark - 5/5 points
Increases the Ranged Attack Power bonus of your Hunter's Mark spell by 15%.
Another ranged attack power buff to go along with Aspect of the Hawk.
Lethal Shots - 5/5 points
Increases your critical strike chance with ranged weapons by 5%. Couple this
with the skill right below this and this will give your overall damage output a
significant boost.
Mortal Shots - 5/5 points
Increases your ranged weapon critical strike damage bonus by 50%. I thought this
should have been 100% increase as most of the other class talents like this are
100%, but then again, you have a pet.
Improved Serpent Sting - 5/5 points
Increases the damage done by your Serpent Sting by 10%. This basically adds 50
damage at the highest rank of serpent sting.
Hawk Eye - 3/3 points
Increases the range of your ranged weapons by 6 yards. Another "gimme" skill
that all classes have.
Scatter Shot - 1/1 point
A short-range shot that deals 50% weapon damage and confuses the target for 4
seconds. Any damage caused will remove the effect. This coupled with Wing Clip
should get you out of most bad situations.
Ranged Weapon Specialization - 5/5 points
Increases the damage you deal with ranged weapons by 5%. This is another skill
that seems "gimmped", for 5 points they could have made it 10%.
Trueshot Aura - 1/1 point
Increases the Ranged and Melee Attack Power of party members within 30 yards by
30. For 1 point who will complain? - However though, for a cost of 650 mana, I
hope this lasts awhile, 15-30 minutes maybe? |
