the easy way to farm for drop items/weapons/armor
So today you saw an item in the AH. You really want the item, but dam, it costs 125g, and you just can't afford that right now. If you're like most people, you'll probably just pass it by and go onto the next item, you'd like to have... it's a bit cheaper, but not nearly as good. Maybe you'll search for the mob that is most likely to drop it on wowhead or thottbot or allakhazam, but chances are you won't bother, because you either have to alt tab, or shut down WoW to go look it up. There is an alternative. I love this addon, and have been speaking it's praise now for a long time. I use this addon everyday to level up, to finish quests, and even to find quest drop items. What you might not know, it that MobMap http://mobmap.de/ also shows non quest items like weapons, armor, and recipes. So suppose I wanted to search and see who dropped "Shard of Azzinoth" Instead of going to an external site, I simply click on "Drop Chances" then enter in the name, and find that it's dropped 49.8% of the time by one boss only, in the Black Temple, Illidan Stormrage. Now if I was in the Black Temple, I could then click on Illidan Stormrage, and see exactly where the mob would spawn or in what area was likely to wander. If it's an item which is on a mpb in the area I am hunting, I can also farm cloth that was as well. A great example is Felcloth. There are some mobs who drop it 50% of the time, and others ~9% of the time. Me, I am going after that 50%!
