I had a bit of trouble with the infamous cauldron quests in Western
Plaguelands so I wanted to offer a desrcription. I did this quest around 55 but
it is possible to do it earlier I'm sure. Anyway, if you can get a group, the
Plaguelands crawl with AC doing a similar quest.
First you have to talk to Executor Derrington and get the quest to burn a tent
and plant a banner at a Scarlet camp. Make sure to right click on the crate next
to him to get the flameable bottle to light the tent up.
Clear the tent, light the fire and get outta there. Head back and turn in the
quest to Executor Derrington. He tells you to go see Shadow Priestess Vandis.
She gives you a quest for the cauldrons at these fields (in order while running
east):
Felstone (first field on left)
Dalson's Tears (second field on left)
Writhing Haunt (just past ruins of alendar on right)
Gahrron's Withering (past writhing haunt on right)
For each quest, you clear around the cauldron til a lord appears, kill the lord,
loot the key, click on the cauldron, complete the quest, accept a quest to
return to Shadow Priestess Vandis.
Once done with the quest, you go back to Executor Derrington and get another
9300 exp on top of all the exp for the chain quest above. You've also opened up
more quests in WP to do. One quest is to light a torch at the 4 towers which I
believe is a chain quest for the key to scholomance.
*correction* as stated below, the light the towers quest is not dependent on the
cauldrons quest. So do the cauldrons just for the MASS exp you get *grin*
