New PvP Event

In WoW SoD Phase 2, Blizzard introduced a new PvP event called "The Blood Moon". This event brings chaos to Stranglethorn Vale as the moon rises, casting a strange red haze over the area. The event requires players to defeat others to earn currency for new rewards.

Event: The Blood Moon
Time: Every three hours
Duration: 30 minutes
Location: Stranglethorn Vale

The World Event in Stranglethorn Vale requires players to defeat opponents to earn currency for new rewards. Although players can still team up with allies to participate in this event, Blizzard has made some changes to account for The Blood Moon. Moon has taken precautions against this situation, and players who join a team will be penalized. Blizzard has not yet announced the exact form of the penalty and will need to wait until Phase 2 officially opens to find out. The standard PvP rules remain in effect during The Blood Moon event.

Players who prefer not to engage in PvP and seek peace can choose to opt-out by speaking with the Zandalari Warbringer. Opting out will result in players not receiving any rewards from the event.

Unlike Ashenvale's PvP events, Stranglethorn Vale's events will not have clear PvP objectives. This means that there will be no more Phase 1 situations where players from different camps are harmoniously working together to find PvP bosses to kill. Additionally, players will need to keep a close eye on the Blood God's Chosen, a force to be reckoned with that will kill anyone in its path.

Additionally, a new quest has been added to help players gain Arathi Basin's reputation. Players who are catching up on their progress may not need to complete these quests in the short term since there will be no world gain associated with this event.

PvP Matchmaking Mechanism Updates

Blizzard has adjusted the matchmaking mechanics to address the issue of solo players being matched with cooperating group players and having a hard time winning. Two changes have been implemented: squads of five or fewer players will have a higher chance of being matched with squads of five or fewer players, and if a player is in a squad of six or more, they will have a higher chance of being matched with a squad of six or more.

This will help to reduce the power gap between the two sides. The updated matchmaking system may result in longer queues, but the system will prioritize completing matches quickly if longer wait times become an issue.

Ashenvale Updates

In Phase 2, the Ashenvale schedule will change to every 3 hours. Additionally, any benefits obtained in Ashenvale will not apply to players who are level 39 or higher.

Conclusion

Blizzard has made significant improvements to the PvP gameplay in WoW SoD Phase 2, addressing some of the issues that arose in Phase 1. In Ashenvale, players from both factions coexist peacefully, which is a departure from Blizzard's original intent of creating PvP events. The lack of conflict can be attributed to poor event design. In Phase 2, Blizzard has fundamentally altered this situation. I believe that The Blood Moon will descend upon Stranglethorn Vale.Buy WoW SoD gold coins at Gameusd, if you have any needs.
