Conjecture: the world of WoW SoD is an Experiment of Xal'atath

 Author:  Gameusd

Wowhead recently provided interesting content about WoW SOD. All signs point to Xal'atath being the focus of the plot. The world of WoW SOD is related to the official World of Warcraft service plot, with some excess. This article combines players' reasonable speculation and summarizes the following four subsequent plot conjectures for WoW SoD.
Xal'atath

Conjecture 1

The 2024 WoW Roadmap includes an update to the summer official service to version 11.0, as well as an update to the SoD's level 60 stage. It should be clear to all players that Xal'atath is ready to be attacked. This NPC and the void boss are closely linked. Assuming that Xal'atath is the final boss of the 11.0 raid, the player who defeats her will face the Void in the next debut. This will mark the official kickoff of Azeroth's fight against the Void.

The 11.0 storyline will be linked to SoD. The world in which players currently play is the same parallel world as the official service level 60 from the past. Xal'atath discovered this timeline in patch 11.0 and channeled the elements of the Void in an unknown way, resulting in some changes to this world.
However, this action was an experiment she conducted before the start of the 11.0 storyline to welcome the Void Boss into the official service. Let's examine this subtle update line from Blizzard: After a player defeats Xal'atath in version 11.0, she reveals the truth and unlocks the level 60 SOD raid, which is connected to her death in the plot. This brings everything together.

Conjecture 2

The first statement is reliable. There are many details that side-step the first conjecture.
For instance, why does Aku'mai in Blackfathom Deeps have a Void form? What is the significance of the Void Eggs scattered throughout the map? Why does the Murloc Boss summon an army of Void Murlocs?
Aku’mai
As most players probably know, Xal'atath is the NPC who provides the in-game drawings for crafting the Purple Equipment. As evident from the dialogue, the key component required to make the Purple Equipment is the one located in Blackfathom Deeps.
This item is responsible for the alterations made to Blackfathom Deeps.

Conjecture 3

The origin of the runes is an obvious but easily overlooked question.
No episode within SoD has ever explained where the runes came from. They just appeared out of nowhere in this parallel world and were then intercepted by various people before being scattered around the world.
This may be all Xal'atath's doing. It is not surprising that Xal'atath turned some of the skills that have appeared in various timelines throughout WoW into runes and brought them into SoD, given her ability to put the Void Essence into Blackfathom Deeps.
She did this out of necessity for her experiments. As the dialogue suggests, Xal'atath can implant "certain abilities" directly into your head, so making a rune would be easy for her.

Conjecture 4

Have you ever wondered why Blackfathom Deeps was chosen as the first raid? It was selected because it is the appropriate level, the map can accommodate ten players, and it fits into Ashenvale. However, what about the plot? But what is the plot reason?
Why is Gnomeregan the stage 2 raid? Some players might say that the next big battleground is Stranglethorn Vale, which makes it easy for both Alliance and Horde players to access the raid.
What does the power of the Void affect in Blackfathom Deeps? The Void can easily conquer Murlocs and beasts, as evidenced by the fact that affected beasts can create Void eggs.
What comes next? Xal'atath then tested the effect of the Void on other races, starting with a Gnomeregan in the second stage of the raid to see if machinery could be affected.

What about the level 50 stage? It's time to test the elements in the Bleak Lands, where both sides can engage in combat.
Next up is the level 60 stage. So far, several major species have passed the test, and all can be affected by the Void. What about the undead? In the next part of the plot. It's either Psychic or Stratholme.
Xal'atath was wise to test all the "lower races" before moving on to the "dragons". Dragons are at the top of the monster hierarchy. If the Void can affect dragons, the 11.0 Void boss in Azeroth will be invincible, in the final stage of SoD, players prepare to meet Nefarian of the Void.

Conclusion

To summarize, the world of SoD and the official plot will be connected. The process for making purple armor is ingenious and suggests that this is not just a bullshit. If the Void appears in Stage 2 Gnomeregan, it will further support this inference. Buy WoW SoD gold coins and items at Gameusd, if you have any needs.
